Sakura was a female Commerson's dolphin living at Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise. Sakura was born at Marinepia Matsushima Aquarium on June 20, 2010 to Sarah and Cruz. In 2011, a large earthquake struck Japan, causing the once independent Sakura to become traumatized. On May 10, 2015, Marinepia Matsushima Aquarium was still unable to recover from the tsunami, and Sakura, Sarah, Bonn, and Tsubasa were sent to Sendai Umino Mori Aquarium. On June 6, 2016, Sakura was sent to Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise to meet Sky, the son of her half-sister, Stella, from Toba Aquarium. Sakura suddenly lost her appetite on August 25, 2017, then was found lying on the bottom of the pool on August 26. At 6:34, soon after the discovery, Sakura passed away at Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise.
