Busso was captured in 1984 alongside Hanschen, a male, and three females. On February 14, 1984, the six met Nico and Yogi at Duisburg Zoo. The four without names died later that year, and Hanschen died sometime in 1985. Nico, Busso, and Yogi lived together until Busso's death on December 22, 1991, not long before the death of Nico.
